Armed Robbers Kill Police Officer

A police officer identified as Evans Kwame Addae and attached to the Dunkwa-on-Offin Divisional Police Headquarters armory has been shot dead by armed robbers.

Reports suggested that Evans was shot dead on Saturday, September 28,2024 during a gun battle with armed robbers at Kwame Peprakrom in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region between 12.00am and 1.00am.

The police officers were accidentally ambushed by the robbers. The robbers then engaged the policemen in gunshots.

Evans lost his life while two other police officers were reportedly wounded.

The injured have been rushed to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for urgent medical care, according to a report by MyJoyonline.com. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
