Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has unveiled a statue bearing his image at the entrance of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi.
The unveiling was part of the Akufo-Addo’s one-day ‘Thank you’ tour of the Western Region on Wednesday, November 6,2024.
Addressing residents, the President touted his achievements, noting that he has fulfilled 80 percent of his promises to Ghanaians within his 8 years in office.
Commenting on the statue’s unveiling, the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah said the monument honours the President’s contributions to the region including the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a three-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
