Kumasi Asante Kotoko has emerged as the winner of the 2025 President’s Cup, defeating arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 2-1 in a thrilling match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, July 6.
The Porcupine Warriors secured their ninth President’s Cup title through Konadu Yiadom’s own goal and Kwame Opoku’s beautiful strike during the second half of the game.
But Hearts of Oak took the lead in the first half with a goal from Hamza Issah, who capitalized on a goalkeeping error by Kotoko’s Mohamed Camara.
President John Dramani Mahama, in whose honour the match was played, was in attendance and presented the trophy to Kotoko Captain, Samba Gilbani.
