At least nine people sustained various levels of injuries during a deadly clash between supporters of the ruling government, NPP and opposition NDC in Nima on Sunday,October 13,2024.
Seven of the the victims have been treated and discharged by the Police Hospital and Maamobi General Hospital in Accra where they sought medical attention.
The incident occurred near the Maamobi market. The party supporters from the Zongo community are reported to have clashed during a health walk.
Both sides were wearing their political party T-shirts.
The disturbances started with a physical altercation, then escalated to punches and gunshots.
Police say calm has been restored in the area but they have launched a nationwide manhunt for the individuals responsible for the Sunday attacks. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
