A local police station in Ejura in the Ashanti Region has been burnt to pieces following a violent attack from some angry residents, mainly youth.
According to information, the angry youth in the Ejura community freed suspects on remand before violently destroying property and igniting the police station.
The Assemblyman for area stated that the youth stormed the police station after their colleague died in the hands of police on Friday, January 11,2025.
The deceased had been arrested on suspicion of using a stolen mobile phone.
The military and police are currently at the scene to restore order.
