The mother of Ghana’s Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has died.
Hajia Mariama Bawumia passed on Monday morning.
Dr. Bawumia confirmed the news in a post on his Facebook wall sighted by Kasatintin.com.
He said ‘It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother Hajia Mariama Bawumia. Hajia Mariama passed away peacefully this morning in Accra’.
He added ‘Burial is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday September 14, 2021 in Walewale. May the Almighty Allah grant her Jannatul Firdaus’.
Late Hajia Mariama Bawumia popularly called Maame has been unwell for some time now. She was 82years.
