The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will file a petition on the 2020 election results on Wednesday December 30, 2020.
The NDC maintains the election was rigged in favour of the ruling NPP and President Nana Akufo-Addo. But it has to seek redress in the law court.
A member of the NDC legal team, Rockson Nelson Defeamekpor hinted on JoyNews’ political programme Newsfile that the party will challenge both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
‘We’ll go to court. We’ve made that clear… Certainly, by Wednesday, all these matters would be placed before the court’, he said on Saturday.

The other legal luminaries are Lawyer Nana Ato Dadzie, Fui Tsikata, Domonic Ayeni,Tony Lithur and Lawyer Dr. Bassit Bamba.
The rest are Lawyer Samuel Cudjoe,Marrieta B.O Appiah,Victor K. Adawudu,Edudzi Tamakloe as well as Lawyer Dr. Rainer Akumperigya and Abraham Amaliba.
