A vehicle from the convoy of President Akufo-Addo has been involved in an accident at Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region.
Reports coming through suggest that the vehicle was crossed by a KIA Rhino truck, resulting in the crash.
The driver in Akufo-Addo’s convoy, Toyota Land Cruiser died on the spot. Three other occupants of the vehicle also sustained varying degrees of injury.
President Akufo-Addo attended the funeral of former Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah, in Kumasi over the weekend.
It was gathered that the President was not in the convoy at the time the fatal accident occurred. Watch video here.
In a related news, in November 14,2007 a man identified as Thomas Osei crashed his car into former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s vehicle at Opeibia House in Accra. Kufuor was rushed to the 37 Military for medical care. Watch the full story in the video below.
