Burkina Faso Prime Minister Resigns–All You Need To Know

Burkina Faso Prime Minister Christophe Dabire has resigned from government on Wednesday.

Dabire submitted his resignation letter to the president after terror attacks in the West African country last month spurred protests calling for a government reshuffle.

Al-Qaeda linked Jihadist group JNIM is reported to have killed at least 49 military officers and 4 civilians in November 2021 alone.

Protestors blame the Burkina Faso government for its inability to contain terrorism.

President Roch Marc Christian Kabore has accepted Prime Minister Christophe Dabire’s resignation.

The president has also reshuffled leadership of the armed forces.
