Popular Ghanaian broadcast Journalist Captain Smart has been off air Angel FM/ TV for some days now.
His long absence on the station’s flagship programme ‘Anopa Bofuo’ morning show has created suspicion that he has resigned from Dr Kwaku Oteng’s Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN).
The celebrated radio presenter joined ABN some months ago after resigning from Multimedia Adom FM.
Yes, Captain Smart is the reason most people tune into Angel FM and TV every morning to watch and listen to their breakfast show.
He is the highest paid presenter in ABN, and the third highest paid Akan radio presenter in Ghana.
Captain Smart is said to earn a quarter of the salary of Peace FM’s Kwami Sefa Kayi and 50% less the salary of Adom FM’s Chief Jerry Forson (CJ).
But has Captain Smart left ABN? ; What pushed him out of the station?; Does he have issues with Angel FM?; Is he going back to his former employer, Adom FM? These are the key questions fans of the vociferous presenter have been knocking on the doors of Kasatintin.com for answers.
Kasatintin News checks confirm that Captain Smart has indeed been on and off the morning show lately due to some personal reasons.
According to our sources, the ‘Fabewoso’ presenter has had a formal discussions with Management to review his tight work schedules on the station to enable him spend some quality time with his family.
Management of ABN have however appealed to Captain Smart to stick with his existing responsibilities until February 2021.
The decision will help the station to effectively execute its plans for the coverage of election 2020 which is a few days away.
The morning show of Accra-based Angel FM 102.9 MHz is built around Captain Smart instead of content that draws listenership. ABN is doing everything to keep him at least for the next 3years.
The information is that Captain Smart has taken his annual leave to afford him time to enjoy with his family, wife and children who just returned from abroad. He informed Management about the leave through an official letter.
