Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi says he is well despite reports that he has been hospitalized.
Chairman Wontumi appeared very healthy when he stormed the Bantama Constituency to inspect NPP parliamentary polls on Saturday.
Whilst responding to questions from the press on how is doing, he said ‘I am okay’
Chairman Wontumi is currently in hot waters following comments he made about the Asantehene.
This caused the Kumasi Traditional Council to summon him to the Manhyia Palace but he failed to show up.
A few days ago, the General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong, led an NPP delegation to the Manhyia Palace appeal for an extension of the deadline for the summon due to the Chairman’s illness. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
