Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Bernard Antwi-Boasiako also popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has been spotted in a viral video commenting on the chances of his party in 2020 elections and one which will be held in 2024.
It is not known where and when the video was recorded.
However, Chairman Wontumi, flanked by some party officials is heard talking about winning power in 2020 and beyond.
He noted that winning election 2020, 2024 and beyond is a ‘movement’ and it will be ‘stronger than apartheid’.
You know Chairman Wontumi can’t really speak good English. What he said in the viral video has thrown Netizens into great laughter.

Another social media user added that ‘Chairman Wontumi’s bad English can kill all mosquitoes in Accra. Boi, let me pass’.
Indeed, there is no correlation between speaking good English and wealth.
Chairman Wontumi is said to make $1 million a day from his mining company whiles most people who claim to speak better English are jobless.
Chairman Wontumi is reported to have reacted to critics who mock him for his bad English.
He is alleged to have said on Metro TV’s ‘Good Evening Ghana’ that:
‘Before you laugh at my English, look into your pocket’.
