The Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) in the Wenchi West District, Bono Region has honoured 20 girls for keeping and preserving their virginity.
The church gave an undisclosed amount of money to the girls, between age 13 and 16 as a reward during a thanksgiving service held over the weekend.
Nana Amponsah Poku (Mrs), the Wenchi West District Coordinator of the Young Adventist Women Ministries commended the girls for preserving their virginity till date, saying ‘God created you uniquely beautiful and you must not allow anybody to lure and break your virginity until you marry’.
Pastor Andrews Dua Bour Kyere, the Associate Pastor of Wenchi West District of the SDA Church, also praised the girls being a shining example for other teenagers.
He was hopeful the girls in the Church will remain ‘pure’, work on their spiritual growth and also concentrate on their education.
In 2022, a church awarded certificates of virginity to its female members drawing admiration from the public.
The certificates were awarded to the ladies after they were carefully tested and confirmed to be true virgins.SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
