Pope Francis, Bishop of Rome and head of the Catholic Church has been confirmed dead. He was 88years.
Pope Francis was seriously ill in his last days and had been hospitalized for months.
On 14 February, 2025,he received bronchitis treatment. Later, the Pope was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia.
Further test called for blood transfusions after medics revealed that he had low levels of platelets in his blood, which is associated with anaemia.
Pope Francis ascended the holy throne in 2013 after his predecessor Bendedicf XVI resigned as Pope of the Catholic Church.
