Sports Journalist, Dan Kwaku Yeboah has resigned from his position as the Spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee.
Dan Kwaku Yeboah confirmed his resignation via a post on his Instagram page a while ago.
‘It was a honor and a privilege to serve. To God be the Glory’, the outgoing GFA Normalisation Committee’s Spokesperson stated in the Instagram post sighted by Kasatintin.com.
Some social media users jumped onto Dan Kwaku Yeaboah’s Instagram page to give him a chⱸⱸky response minutes after he announced his resignation.
@ghhyper1 wrote: ‘Dan you surprised many of us who believed in you…you are also corrupt.’
Another user @yawagyeiwilliam commented : ‘You chop the money finish. Corrupt man.’
The headlines in the tabloids could reduce Dan Kwaku Yeboah’s appetite for for food for 5 years.
Ghanasoccernet.com published a sensational headline on Monday (2nd September, 2019) about Dan Kwaku Yeboah’s resignation from the GFA Normalisation Committee stressing:
‘…the tough-talking journalist, who was paid $1,000 monthly salary has had enough of the embarrassment by jumping the ship, barely a month to the end of tenure of the interim body.’
Dan Kwaku Yeboah appears to have made a lot of enemies for himself whiles serving on the GFA Normalisation Committee.
Former Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Joseph Yamin is reported to have said that the Sports Journalist needed to be caned ‘…because of his previous criticism of Ghana football.’
Hon. Yamin is quoted as saying on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports that ‘…the Dan that we know who was against previous government sponsoring supporters to the tournament is mute because he is benefitting from it.’
‘Dan Kweku Yeboah can’t tell me he is not aware of how much they spent in Egypt. Dan should be caned for saying that we shouldn’t discuss the budget before a tournament because it will affect the performance of the team’, the report further said.
It is now clear that Dan Kwaku Yeboah is no more the Spokesperson for the GFA Normalisation Committee.
A few months ago, there was a huge debate as to which player deserves to captain the national team during the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
A greater number of pundits made a case that the Black Stars would have performed better and probably won the African Cup in Egypt if Coach Kwesi Appiah had selected Asamoah Gyan instead of Dede Ayew as the Captain of the national team.
