Today is Monday, December 7, 2020. In a few hours, over 17 million eligible voters will vote in the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Polls officially opens at 7.00am in 33,367 polling centres across the country.
Voters began to form queues at the various polling stations Sunday night.
Scores of people turned up at the polls as early as 10.00pm to queue. Some secured their spot in the queue with chairs, stones, buckets, chamber pots and other items.
The Electoral Commission has assured it will declare the results of the polls in 24 hours.
12 candidates are contesting in the 2020 presidential elections. But the battle has been narrowed to the NPP and NDC.
