The Fetish Priests Association of Ghana (FPAG) has declared its intention to embark on a nationwide protest against the destruction of lands, water bodies, and forests caused by illegal mining activities, locally known as Galamsey.
Over 2,000 fetish priests across the country are expected to take part in the planned demonstration.
FPAG President, Nana Kwaku Bonsam stated in an interview on Kasapa FM, also monitored by Kasatintin.com that ‘The nationwide protest will be accompanied by curses on those responsible for the environmental destruction’.
He warned that ‘Within two weeks of the protest, the wrath of the gods would be evident, resulting in the loss of life for perpetrators’.
The Fetish priests intend to send a petition to the President through the Ministry of Sanitation, and the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
FPAG will announce date for their planned demonstration in due course. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
