Ghana’s Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will be flown abroad for further medical treatment after she suffered a sudden illness while attending to an official duty in her office on Friday,28th March,2025.
Following the incident, the Vice President received medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
The Presidency said Prof Opoku-Agyemang,73 requires additional medical care to stay fit.
‘Medical experts have advised that the Vice President seek further treatment abroad to ensure her full recovery’, a communication from the Presidency stated.
However, a section of the public has asked government to provide full information about the health status of Prof. Opoku-Agyamang since state funds will likely be used to cater for her medical bills.
In other news, Ghanaian journalist, Kofi Adomah Nwanwani who was accidentally sh0t during a festival in Bono is battling with his eyesight, despite going through rounds of surgeries.
