The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has initiated disciplinary action against Accra Hearts of Oak following their GFA Premier League match against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kotoko won the match 1-0, but controversy arose when a late goal was disallowed, which would have leveled the score.
The GFA has charged Hearts of Oak with breaches of Articles 16(2)(b), 12(1)(k), and 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, and the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2025, for allegedly allowing supporters to throw objects onto the field.
Additionally, player Hussein Mohammed faces charges for assaulting the match referee after the game.
Both the team and Hussein Mohammed are required to respond to the charges by Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
