The Ghana Drunkards Association (GDA) is taking steps to address the financial challenges of members who have consumed drinks from various drinking spots on credit and are still struggling to honor payments.
Some of the drunkards took locally brewed gin brands which such as ‘akpeteshie’, ‘kraman kote’ and ‘tu na me ndwonso’
The drunkards association has therefore agreed to forgive all debts owed by its 16.5 million members to drinking spots across the country.
‘We have… decided to cancel all debts owed by members from 2022 to 2023 at the bar’, the association president Moses Onyah (Alias Moses Drybone) announced in a press statement.
Moses Drybone urged members to go along with their national identification card (Ghana Card) when visiting their favorite drinking bars.
He further impressed on government to reduce the taxes on alcoholic beverages else drunkards may be tempted to spoil their ballot in the coming elections.
‘Our membership weighs more than any political party membership in Ghana, and if we decide to demonstrate or spoil ballots, it will go against the nation’ Moses Drybone added. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
