Multiple reports in the tabloid media indicate that a Ghanaian woman from Kumasi has been shot dead in Canada.
The shooting occurred in the afternoon of Friday, July 11, 2025, near Jackson Square on King Street West, between MacNab and James Streets in Downtown Hamilton, Toronto.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
One Ghanaian woman spot at the scene could be heard weeping and saying ‘the deceased, Berlinda, was just going to get some items from the market when an unknown attacker opened fire on her.
Horribly, another man who was also at the scene sustained a gunshot wound.
