President John Mahama has travelled to Northern Ghana as part his ongoing mediation efforts to secure lasting peace for the protracted conflict in Bawku.
Earlier this week, President Mahama paid a peace visit to the Bawku Nab and the Nayiri in Nalerigu.
The President was captured in a video warmly sitting in a green plastic chair the chiefs provided him during his official visit.
A photo of Mahama glued to the green chair has gone viral, with some social media users describing him as a humble person.
In an interesting twist to the story, some netizens are also flying a photo of former President Nana Akufo-Addo standing and apparently addressing some chiefs in a palace.
He is seen using his familiar chair which he mostly carries around with him in a dedicated vehicle.
Online, the photos of the two statesmen have been placed side by side possibly to convey a certain message and to fit a certain political agenda.
