Goaso Traditional Council has banned all forms of Valentine’s Day activities in the traditional area.
The Council warned that the traditional area is mourning the passing of its Paramount Chief, Nana Akwasi Bomsomprah and that it will be insensitive for anybody to make merry whiles the Council prepare for the one-week observance of the late traditional leader.
In view of this, the Council has advised people to quietly mark the day in their private homes whiles all public events relating to Valentine’s Day has been banned outright. [See video here].
