The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed heads of basic and second cycle schools to accept teachers’ lesson notes prepared in either manual or electronic form.
Previously, teachers were required to submit handwritten lesson notes to their heads for review but non-compliance led to serious consequences for offending teachers.
Recently, GES introduced a standardized lesson notes in electronic form which teachers can print for submission. Some school heads however refuse to accept the electronic lesson notes.
In a statement dated January 17, 2024, the GES gave teachers the option to submit the lesson notes either manually or electronically as well as in person or via email.
The statement requested the school heads to comply with the new GES directive on preparation of lesson notes. SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
