Former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings turned 72 years old today, November 17, 2020.
Nana Konadu would have had a big birthday celebration this day but the passing of her husband Jerry John Rawlings stole her joy.
In 2018, late Jerry Rawlings lit up Konadu’s 70th birthday party with a wild dance moves when both of them hit the dancing floor.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and her late husband were a wonderful couple. How they met and subsequently got married is a whole story which can fill 15 episodes of a romantic movie.
Grieving Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was born on November 17, 1948 in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana to the late J. O. T. Agyeman, a statesman and entrepreneur and Felicia Agyeman, an educator.
She attended Achimota School, where she met Jerry John Rawlings. They later got married in 1977 and gave birth to their first child, Zenator Rawlings in 1978 followed by two other daughters Yaa Asantewaa and Amina. Kimathi Rawlings, their last born and also only son followed next.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is the founder and flagbearer of National Democratic Party (NDP). She is contesting in the 2020 presidential elections.
