A viral video showing French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte exiting a plane in Vietnam has sparked controversy, with some interpreting a moment between the two as a possible altercation.
The 39 seconds footage captures the couple on the plane stairway, with Brigitte Macron’s hand appearing to make contact with the President’s face. Macron is seen briefly stepping back before composing himself to wave.
The President’s office has denied any dispute, describing the video as ‘misleading’.
Challenges with the authenticity of the video has raised questions about the potential manipulation of the material to slander Macron ,possibly for political reasons.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl, Felicia Anaba has fallen into coma after a 33-year-old man attacked her with cutlass for refusing to sleep with him in the bush in Obete Nchina Village, Ntighauzo community in Obingwa council area of Abia State.
The suspect, Chinazum Nwaubani,33 is currently in police custody.
Reports said Felicia and her twin brother had gone to the bush to fetch firewood when Chinazum attempted to force Felicia to have intercourse with him but she strongly resisted it while the male twin ran away in the course of the alleged sexual assault.
The suspect became infuriated and then decided to pull a machete and gave Felicia deep cuts on her head, leg and hand.
