The whereabout of US-based government critic, Twene Jonas has become a subject of discussion on social media.
The missing dude is known for criticising the policies of the current government which he claims are not favourable to citizens.
His usual post on Facebook seized for some time.
Twene Jonas was reported missing a few days ago leading to wide speculation of he being arrested and deported from the US to Ghana.
Kasatintin.com indeed spotted a trending photo which partly confirmed the rumour of Twene Jonas deportation to Ghana.
Jonas’ sister and his best friend, De Don earlier this week raised an alarm on social media and accused President Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being behind the sudden disappearance of the young Ghanaian.
The accusations have been tied to series of events.
Two weeks ago, failed Parliamentary aspirant of the NPP, Hopeson Adorye flew from Ghana to look for Twene Jonas in New York.
Adorye, who was on official government trip revealed that Twene Jonas had been sacked from his workplace in New York, and added that for fear of being deported, he (Jonas) has gone into hiding.
Other members of the pro-government group, ‘Fixing the Country Movement’ who were also the official trip have been cited for purposefully being flown by the government to New York to pursue Jonas.
Later, President Akufo-Addo was captured in the office of Facebook. The claim was that the president had asked Facebook to block Twene Jonas account.
Kasatintin.com has gathered fresh information on the whereabout of ‘missing’ Twene Jonas.
We can confirm that Jonas is still in the US. He has not been arrested and deported over any immigration offenses as being peddled around.
The troublesome boy said in his latest tweet that he was busy with his music career, which is why he is not active on social media.
Jonas said ‘I’ve been busy lately putting Ghana and American music into international platforms. We will bring awards home soon! Share with 100 people if you are a proud Ghanaian! I will bring a Warm-Up later. Glass Nkoaa. The system is working 24/7’.
He posted a short video clip of his music, ‘Lìck it’ and a YouTube link to the full video.
