In a new social media video, the police chief is captured in town in his uniform frying ‘kelewele’.
If you’re so naive, kelewele is a known Ghanaian delicacy prepared with ripe plantain mixed with spices including pepper and ginger.
The woman who owns the kelewele joint was amazed by IGP Dampare’s skills in turning the hot plantain.
He visited the joint while monitoring patrol activities in some parts of Accra.
Like you, many eople think the IGP has really improved police–public engagement since he took over office.
Others feel he should also do more to improve the security situation in the country.
