One of the Guineans who tested positive for coronavirus (otherwise called Covid-19) in Tamale has escaped, according to JoyNews.
The young lady, who authorities say is in her early 20s allegedly scaled the wall at the back of the hotel where she and nine others were being held in mandatory quarantined.
Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed told JoyNews that:
‘At midnight when everybody was asleep she scaled the wall and escaped leaving her belongings, including a mobile phone’
He also stated that the Guinean escaped at the blind side of two police officers and two military personnel who were guarding the hotel.
Mr Saeed urged for calm as security agencies put measures in place to ensure the girl is captured and returned to quarantine for her safety as well as others.

Meanwhile, Kasatintin.com has learnt that a poor Rwandan man has been eaten by a hungry crocodile after he broke lockdown orders to go fishing.
According to information, the unidentified man was killed Wednesday while fishing on the Nyabarongo river.
The Mayor of the area is said to have confirmed the incident to a local media saying the deceased ‘Had broken the stay-home rule, he’s among very few people here who are not cooperating with the lockdown to stop the virus’.
