Flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has reportedly pulled out of the 2020 Presidential elections.
This comes barely 14 days to the December 7 general elections.
Kasatintin.com has learnt that Nana Kondau’s last-minute consideration is connected to the demise of her husband, ex-President Jerry John Rawlings who passed away on November 12, 2020.
Reports say the NDP leader has informed the EC of her decision.
Earlier, Ghanaian businessman and politician, Akwasi Addai Odike called on Nana Konadu to withdraw from the presidential race as a sign of respect for late husband.
In an interview with TV3, he said that ‘Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has no place to gain sympathy votes because even 2016 when her husband was alive, she had less than 20,000 votes.
So, she should concentrate on her husband’s death and even withdraw from the electioneering race’.
