Nana Agradaa, a controversial traditional priestess, now turned an evangelist,has been sentenced to 15years imprisonment by the Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, July 3,2025.
Nana Agradaa was found guilty of deceiving victims with his televised broadcast in 2022, where she falsely claimed that she had special spiritual powers for doubling money.
Her broadcast influenced many individuals to submit to her ‘money-doubling’ scheme, where she promised congregants miraculous financial returns in exchange for various sums of money.
The scheme turned out to be fraudulent, and Agradaa’s victims were left empty-handed.
Before sentencing her, the court ordered a mandatory pregnancy test. Results confirmed she was not pregnant, allowing the sentencing to proceed without delay.
