Kasatintin.com has learnt that Police in Zambia have arrested the leader of a small opposition party on charges of defaming President Edgar Lungu.
Chishimba Kambwili, who is the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been sighted in a viral video in which he allegedly implied that the head of state was a d0g.
Kambwili is claimed to have stated in the said video that ‘Some d0gs from Chawama do not get tired of travelling.’
Chawama is a township in the capital, Lusaka, where President Lungu previously lived and served as a member of parliament.
Truly, President Lungu, like most African heads of state does not get tired of travelling abroad. President Lungu is on record to have embarked on incessant foreign trips to India, Tokyo and many other countries in recent times.

But NDC leader, Mr Kambwili, leader has insisted his comments were misunderstood when he addressed the press on Wednesday.
Lawyer Christopher Mundia confirmed Mr Kambwli’s arrest in an alleged media interview saying ‘The allegation is that he made references to d0gs from Chawama’ in the video.
The police have drawn inference that he was referring to the head of state as a d0g from Chawama and that is why they have decided to charge him with defamation of the president,’ Lawyer Mundia added.
The NDC leader was interrogated for nearly two hours before being taken into custody at a police station in the capital, Lusaka.
Kambwli could be handed a 3-year jail term if found guilty.
Is Zambia practising democracy or an autocratic system of government? Only President Lungu can tell us.
