33-year-old man in Kasoa, Lawson Adams has been arrested for using the funeral poster of the late wife of a police commander in Kasoa to solicit for funeral donations.
The deceased passed on few weeks ago and the family had made arrangements to bury her on February 26, 2023.
Lawson reportedly took advantage of information on the obituary poster and begun to ask people to send him funds for the funeral preparation.
He has so far scammed more than ten people, Kasatintin.com has gathered.
