Are you addicted to kissing? If this is you then you must do everything in your control to unlearn this behaviour.
It has been revealed that an intense kiss lasting for about 10minutes can actually damage your eardrum and cause hearing loss.
Writing on how a kiss causes hearing loss, Asexual Doctor on X indicated that ‘For those who may not know, your ears, nose, and throat are all connected by a narrow passage called the Eustachian tube. This tube helps regulate air pressure inside your ear’.
‘Now, here’s the problem’, the Asexual educator stressed in the post sighted by Kasatintin.com saying;
1.A deep, forceful kiss creates a powerful suction effect.
2.This suction can suddenly change the pressure inside the ear.
3.If the pressure is too strong, it can rupture the eardrum, leading to pain, hearing loss, and even dizziness’.
Becoming deaf after enjoying a long, deep kiss is a possible occurrence. If you are in doubt read the full story shared by Asexual Doctor below:
‘Imagine sharing a deep, passionate kiss with your partner, only to come out of it… deaf in one ear! Sounds unbelievable, right?
Well, that’s exactly what happened to a man after a 10-minute-long kiss with his girlfriend. Midway, he heard a strange bubbling sound in his ear, followed by intense pain. Hours later, he lost hearing in one ear.
When he visited the hospital, doctors found that his eardrum had ruptured—all because of that intense kiss!
This is rare, but it’s not the first case.
Doctors have seen eardrum injuries from forceful kisses, sudden slaps on the ear, and even loud blasts from speakers or fireworks’.
