Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi have announced the suspension of all surgical cases with immediate effect due to water shortage crisis that has hit the hospital since last week.
Medical doctors at the hospital have expressed grave concerns about the situation, warning the ongoing water shortage has significantly affected the provision of essential healthcare services.
In view of this, the doctors’ union has advised Management of the hospital to temporarily halt the admission of new patients at the orthopedic and emergency departments until the water supply situation is improved.
