The body of the Uber driver who was killed in Kumasi a week ago has been laid in state today, Sunday, July 18.
The funeral is taking place at Gyinyasi, a suburb of Kumasi.
The late Israel Adjei Manu, also headteacher of a private school in the Ashanti Region picked up a male passenger who wanted to convey a sound system at Feyasi, Kumasi on that fateful day.
Upon reaching the destination, police investigations revealed the passenger chopped off Israel’s head and dumped him in an uncompleted building.
The suspect was however arrested within 24 hours, and he confessed that he wanted to use the body for money rituals ‘juju’.
Israel Adjei Manu was 34 years.
