Here are a few of the events which may delay the official declaration of December 7 poll results in some constituencies in Ghana:
1.The New Patriotic party (NPP) has called for a total recount of ballots for Ejura Constituency. The party cites clerical errors on the pink sheets,tampered ballot papers, violence and ballot box snatching as reasons for the rejection of the entire ballot.
But the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it won soundly at all the polling stations insisting NPP party agent signed the pink sheets in over 100 polling stations.
2.Confusion rocks Dome Kwabenya constituency over arrival of an alleged new pink sheets parceled in a brown envelope at the collation centre around 3am, Sunday. NDC party supporters have stormed the collation centre claiming that an unidentified person came in with a brown envelope suspected to contain fake pink sheets to overturn the results.
3. 10 ballot boxes have reportedly gone missing in Juaboso Constituency. The EC Returning Officer was allegedly attacked while using a party vehicle to transport ballot boxes to the Sefwi Juaboso collation centre. The whereabouts of the Returning Officer is unknown.
4.Banda Constituency (Bono Region). The EC has given an order to break the padlock to a room where ballot boxes for special voting was kept.The NPP member of parliament allegedly refused to bring his keys. His phone has been off.Counting underway in collation centre.SOURCE: Kasatintin.com
