Robert Farmer, 26-year-old California man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for killing 21 cats in the San Jose area, some of which he lured from people’s homes.
Surveillance footage showed the suspected serial cat killer trying to round up cats in the San Jose’s Cambrian neighborhood which was played to him in court.
According to a report sighted by Kasatintin.com, Robert Farmer was accused of kidnapping and killing cats in San Jose.
He pleaded guilty to all charges – 21 counts of felony animal cruelty and two misdemeanor counts.
The court then convicted Robert Farmer on his own plea. He will serve 16 years jail term.
He will also never be allowed to own or care for pets.
Again, the convict will have mandatory supervision for three years upon his release.
Animal rights activists said they are very much satisfied with the sentencing.
They said ‘Our hearts go out to the families that were affected by this crime, and we look forward to Mr. Farmer being held accountable for these heinous acts’.
