A Nigerian man, 45 has been jailed 2 years after he spent 2 million Naira cash that was mistakenly credited to his bank account.
The sum of money is reported to have been wrongly transferred by a Yoruba business woman into the bank account of the convict.
Upon receipt of an SMS alert about the transaction on his mobile phone, the man proceeded to the bank to withdraw all the money from his account.
He then absconded to another state and spent the whole money received. He was later arrested and put before court.
The court handed him 2 years jail term and ordered that he pays back the N2 million cash to the woman with interest.
