A young Ghanaian lady identified as Lizzy has been found dead in the refrigerator of his boyfriend in Ho-Fiave in the Volta Region.
The incident is said to have occurred after they spent the weekend together.
Her fiancé, Frank is on the run, according to police source but the suspect has been declared wanted.
Police said on Monday at about 9:00am, they received information from the co-tenant of Frank who indicated that they had detected a strong stench from his room, with houseflies hovering around the windows and door.
The neighbours broke into Frank’s room and found the lady dead in a double-decker refrigerator.
Police investigative team moved in and inspected the body at the crime scene.
The body of the deceased was at an advanced state of decomposition in the white double-decker refrigerator.
Police conveyed the body to Ho Municipal Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Residents say the couple were always seen together, and at times the guy carries her on his back when they are going home.
