Richard Appiah, man arrested by the Sunyani police on suspicion of killing two children and harvesting other human body parts in his fridge has been subjected to further criminal investigations.
On Wednesday, the ‘Abesim killer’ led Police homicide team from Accra to where he buried the intestines and other parts of his victims.
The human intestines were retrieved from a bush at the back of Richard Appiah’s home at Abesim, Sunyani.
But genitals of one the victims is still missing.
The police arrested the suspect on Sunday.
A chief of the Abesim Traditional Council believe Richard Appiah is mentally challenged hence he must be treated with a loose glove.
He claimed Richard recently threatened his father with cutlass, sacked him from home and burnt his personal belongings.
On this score, he has appealed to the IGP and investigators to take the suspect to the psychiatric hospital for mental care.
That’s his opinion anyway. We however don’t know if such a statement makes sense to the ordinary person, let alone be considered as a proper justification in court.
The chief spoke extensively to the media in the video below.Watch.
