Thursday, 27 Feb.,2025–President John Mahama caused a lot of laughter when he touched on one of his flagship programmes for the agriculture sector in his address to the nation in Parliament today.
The President, while presenting his first State of the Nation Address gave the latest update on how he intends to run his much talked about ‘Nkokɔ Nketenkete’ (poultry production) initiative.
During his first State of the Nation Address on Thursday, Mr Mahama indicated that ‘Nkokɔ Nketenkete’ project is geared towards revitalizing poultry farm business in Ghana, and reduce the importation of poultry product in the country.
According to the President, some 55,000 households will be targeted when the initiative is finally roll out.
Mahama said the ‘State of our nation is not good…Our economy is in crisis and the people are suffering’ but ‘I will fix the economic crisis confronting our country and reset it on the path of growth and prosperity’.

-Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Committee’s reports referred to Attorney General’s Office. Nearly 2,000 complaints were received from public
-The $2Million Sky train, National Service ghost names scandals will be pursued
