Many people seem to be aware that 13th December,2025 is the official funeral date for the late Ghanaian musician, Daddy Lumba (DL). The funeral is expected to be held in Kumasi.
But new billboards have surfaced on major streets in Kumasi announcing 10th March, 2026 as the latest proposed date for DL’s final funeral rites.
The new billboards are believed to have been produced by Papa Shee, Lumba’s sister Ernestina Fosuh popularly known as Akosua Bimpomaa, and his uncle Wofa Poku, all acting on the instructions of Daddy Lumba’s first wife, who is based in Germany.

Widowhood case
Daddy Lumba had two wives Akosua Serwaa and Priscilla Ofori (also known as Odo Broni). A Kumasi High Court officially recognised both as his surviving spouses.
The late musician also had other relationships with four women in total, with whom he fathered 11 children.
Akosua Serwaa is Daddy Lumba’s first wife, based in Germany, with whom he had three children.
Priscilla Ofori is Lumba’s partner in Ghana, with whom he had six children.
Earlier this week, Daddy Lumba’s first daughter, Denise Ama Saah Fosuh, warmly invited the general public to her late dad’s funeral.
