A 47-year-old pastor identified as Francis Hammond has hanged himself after wife allegedly threatened to divorce him.
He is reported to have committed suicide at his hometown, Etii Sonkwa in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region on Wednesday morning.

Francis told his father he was frustrated by happenings in his marriage and hinted he may end his life if things do not improve.
The worried father decided to call Francis’ elder brother, who is also a reverend minister to counsel him but the deceased stopped him from doing so.
After a brief conversation, Francis walked to his room and hanged himself on the ceiling fan.
Police have deposited the dead body at the Abura Dunkwa Mortuary pending autopsy.
Father of the deceased suspects the threats of divorce forced his son to take his life, Kasapafmonline stated in a report Kasatintin.com has seen.
Pastor Francis Hammond survived by five children.
