Popular Takoradi based pastor, Jude Nana Kwame Sarpong has landed himself in big trouble for impregnating the wife of his church member.
He has been accused of destroying the home of the married woman.
The lady has taken legal action against Pastor Jude for making her leave her husband based on a promise to marry her.
One Regina Ankrah, now a former church member El Shaddai Outreach Ministry Church in Takoradi claims Pastor Jude had multiple s3xual interc0urse with her as a way to deliver her from spiritual marriage.
The Ghanaian pastor is reported to have prophesized to her that she was married in the spiritual realm to her deceased father and so she would not be successful in any marriage–unless he cast out the evil spirit.
Regina believed the prophecy because she has already had two issues with two different men without marriage.
Pastor Jude Nana Kwame Sarpong took Regina Ankrah through some rituals which ended up with him sleeping with her at a hotel in Kumasi just one week before her wedding with her fiance.
According to information published by Skyy 93.5FM and sighted by Kasatintin.com, Regina got married to her fiance on November 15, 2015, at the church with Pastor Jude playing a pivotal role in her marriage. He invited his uncle who is also a pastor in another church to bless the nuptials.
The pastor continued to sleep with her even after the marriage for over a period of 4 years, under the guise of delivering her from evil spirit.
Pastor Jude warned Regina not to sleep with her husband in order to fast track the deliverance process to which she obliged.
Regina’s mother got to know of this adulterous relationship and advised her to stop. However, the man of God didn’t agree to the terms and begged to be allowed to marry her.
He gave her a promissory ring to indicate his readiness to marry her.
Regina became pregnant for Pastor Jude. Following this event, her husband divorced her through court.
Jude Nana Kwame Sarpong, in the company of his uncle acknowledged the paternity of the child and presented a name to be given to the child.
He thereafter remitted Ghc 500.00 each month for the upkeep of the child.
The pastor started to neglect Regina and their child and dragged his feet in marrying her.
She thus reported him to the Legal Aid in Sekondi for the matter to be addressed.
Pastor Jude did not turn up when the case was called but was represented by his mother.
Regina requested him to pay home maintenance allowance arrears of Ghc 2500.00 including medical bills. She also requested for a new accommodation for herself and the child as well compensation for deserting her.
A week after the case was heard by Legal Aid, Jude caused the payment of Ghc1500.00 of the arrears of the home maintenance allowance.
He however contended that he is not liable to pay any compensation because she is not his wife.
Regina insists the pastor cannot renege on his promise to marry her having caused her to make several sacrifices including the loss of her marriage as well as her being disgraced and publicly ridiculed.
She indicated that the replacement of her wedding ring with the promissory ring bought for her by Jude at his request and instructions is a clear case that there was a promise to marry which caused her to alter her life.
