Over 27 members of Reverend Obofour’s Church have been involved in a fatal accident Tuesday afternoon at Ekumfi Esuehyia in the Central Region.
Members of the Anointed Palace Chapel Chapel (APC) were returning to Accra from Takoradi when their Yutong bus collided with a parked tipper car.
Four of the passengers were crushed to death, several others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Kasatintin.com has learnt that two people died on the spot while two others passed on at the hospital.
The rest are reported to be in critical condition. They are on admission at the Saltpond Government Hospital and Apam Catholic Hospital respectively.
An eyewitness blamed the driver of the tipper truck for causing the tragic accident.
Acccording to him, the driver parked his vehicle wrongly on the side of the road with no sign for approaching vehicles.
It has emerged from the eye witness account that the tipper truck driver stepped out of his car to attend to nature’s call in the bush.
Reverend Obofour is yet to comment on the terrible accident involving his church members.
