Hollywood star with Ghanaian heritage,Boris Kodjoe has stated that the Christian holy bible must be amended to reflect the values of modern society.
Mr Kodjoe, a Christian by the way, said times have changed and certain things which were forbidden at the time the Bible was written must be allowed today.
According to him, Christians should be given the freedom to engage in pre-marital sex and it shouldn’t be classified as a sin.
The 50-year-old international actor told Starr FM’s Bola Ray in a radio interview that ‘I prescribe to a lot of things in the good Book and I think that there are some other things that need innovation or amendment. It is like the Constitution and I think that there are certain things that have to change according to the times that we live in.
‘God is timeless but the word of God was not written by God. It was written by men and that is their subjective experience and expression of how they receive the word of God. I believe in a lot of it but there are also things that I think need some revamping. For instance no sex before marriage, I respect when people make that choice but it is not for me’.
