21-year-old Daniel Tuffuor, a final-year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been placed in police custody in relation to the death of his girlfriend,Miss Joana Deladem Yabani also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in the same institution.
Police report that Miss Yabani,a final-year student was found dead at about 5:00 a.m. on February 27, 2025, near the KNUST Disability and Rehabilitation Centre by the KNUST Security Services.
Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe revealed that Tuffuor was captured on campus surveillance cameras, which played a critical role in his arrest.
Rumours suggest that Daniel Tuffuor and Miss Joana Deladem Yabani were closest couple on campus.
What led to the demise of Yabani can only be known after police investigations.
Trust Ghana Police, they will certainly do their job and get to the bottom of the matter.
But rumour mongers can’t shut up their mouths.
‘Apparently, this KNUST lady died cos his boyfriend retaliated after he had hit him during an argument. Dating is usually not worth it. Don’t hit a woman!’, Controversial Ghanaian microblogger Bongo Ideas alleged in a post on X.
