The radio station has confirmed the sad news. A statement on Adom FM’s Facebook page read:
‘It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved team member, Mr. Samuel Tei Mensah Nartey, affectionately known as DJ Awanna.
Awanna departed this life on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, after a short illness.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
