Veteran Ghanaian actor Mawuli Semevo has reportedly died at the Ridge Hospital on Thursday,February 20,2025.
The 63-year-old actor died while receiving treatment for critical injuries.
He suffered burns up to 44% of his body after his house caught fire early February while he was asleep.
‘This is very serious. From his head to his legs. Everywhere caught fire and he has lost all his hair’, Judith Addison of Beyond Burns International, a dedicated non-profit organisation committed to providing advocacy and support for burns survivors said when she paid a visit to the actor at the hospital.
Mawuli Semevo’s life was hanging in the balance. The fire incident caused him respiratory injuries, and he could not breathe properly.
He was naturally gifted and played roles in movies such as ‘A Stab in the Dark’, ‘The Good Old Days: The Love of AA’, ‘Escape of Love’, ‘Like Cotten Twines’ and ‘Harvest at 17’.
